TAG Heuer S.A. is a Swiss-based luxury watchmaker with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in St-Imier, Switzerland, under the name Uhrenmanufaktur Heuer AG. In 1985, TAG Group acquired a majority stake in the company, leading to the formation of TAG Heuer. Subsequently, in 1999, the Swiss company saw a significant change in ownership when French luxury goods conglomerate LVMH acquired nearly 100 percent of the company. The name TAG Heuer is derived from the initials of "Techniques d'Avant Garde" and the founder's surname.

The Swiss luxury watchmaker started accepting Bitcoin amongst other cryptocurrency payments through a partnership with BitPay in May 2022.
