Dell became the largest company to accept Bitcoin in 2014. Following in the footsteps of pioneers like Overstock and DISH Network, Dell joined the ranks of businesses accepting Bitcoin payments. With its substantial revenue eclipsing Overstock and DISH combines, Dell became the largest retailer at that time to embrace Bitcoin. Further incentivising Bitcoin adoption, Dell offered a 10% discount on Alienware products purchased with Bitcoin. In a bold statement on Twitter, Dell proclaimed, 'if you're a retailer, there's really no reason to not accept Bitcoin at this point.'
